Sifu Jerry with HKNA, was awarded the "Youth Dream Maker Award" of 2017, a prestigious social annual award, given only to 10 persons annually, based on candidates' completion of dream, social influence, chosen out of all successful youth founders, athletes, academecians, and social workers in Hong Kong, often with high-rank HKSAR government officials as guests.

After getting into the finals, "Big Senior" Him Ng and "Third Seniors" Harold & Alvin Cheng competed in the finals of the competition held at HKCEC, one of Asia's most iconic landmarks, and ended up as Top 9 in Hong Kong.

As this event successfully demonstrated Hong Kong's martial arts culture and vitality to the international community, the HKSAR Government selected it as a major 'Best of Hong Kong' event in 2017. It was officially included as an recognized event for the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR, celebrating this world-class sports honor dedicated to the people of Hong Kong.

HKNA organized the 1st HK Nunchaku Competition, held at the Southorn Stadium, with Big Senior "Him Ng" and Second Senior "River Lin" being the first HK Champions.
